Where can I buy the cup inserts for a bikini top?

0

My wife is pregnant and she has E cup breasts. When we went shopping for a maternity swimsuit, the have the small cup inserts that do no reach the edges of each cup, and therefore look silly. Not only do I need to know where to buy them, but also if they make them for larger breasted women.

What kind of inserts are you looking for:

Pads that absorb breast milk

or padding pads, made to make breasts look bigger

Absorbent pads don't usually need to be worn with a bathing suit, because your suit gets wet, but the best way to get bigger absorbent pads is to make you own. you can cut pads out of towels or cloth diapers. you can wash them and reuse them till they fall apart or you don't need them any more.

Most women with large breasts do not like padding in there bras and swimsuits, I will even cut out the padding in swimsuits. Women with large breasts need more support from a bathing suit.

They do make breastfeeding swim suits, but ther usually pretty hard to find and expensive. When I was breastfeeding i wore a normal swimsuit that i could take off one side easily. throw a towel over you shoulder, pull one strap down your arm and remove breast from suit. If she's new at breastfeeding it might be easier if someone else holds the towel up to shield her. I baby sling can also provide shielding.

try looking at joann fabric or any other craft/fabric store

Do you think it is ok for pregnant women to wear 2 peice swimsuits at the beach?

0

I am going on a trip to Florida April 2, and will be about 25 weeks pregnant at that point. If you have shopped for maternity swimsuits you know it sucks, so i found a cut halter style bikini top (with lots of support) and a pair of mens board shorts to wear at the beach. When i got home my boyfriend wasn't sure it is proper etiquette to show my pregnant belly at the beach or not. What do you think?

I'd wear a shirt over it. I know celebrities show off the belly, or the whole body like Demi Moore, but I don't think you should be so exposed. Personal opinion.

Make sure you wear sunblock and don't get too much sun. (Sorry, I'm being a mom!)

congrats

When I had my first child I her due date was at the beginning of September, so I was very pregnant during the summer. I tried and tried to find a good maternity swimsuit but couldn't find anything that fit or was cute. So just bought a bikini with a good underwire top and that worked great. I got lots of compliments on it. I wore a little halter top over it at times especially in the middle of the day for a little more sun protection. But in general my belly was just there for the world to see and people were very complimentary about it.

So if you are comfortable showing your belly then go for it. It is hard enough to find anything that fits during pregnancy, so if you find something that works then wear it.

When I was 26 or 27 weeks we went to puerto rico and I just wore one of my 2 piece bikini's that I had already. Nothing else on me is bigger except my stomach so it didnt look bad. Its whatever your comfortable with! Im almost 38 weeks pregnant now and I still have no stretch marks and I think I look awesome for being pregnant so I would still wear the 2 piece! Its really up to you though hun...Good luck and have fun in Florida!!! Its cold where I am right now lol.

I think it's fine. During both of my pregnancies I wore the same bikini that I do now. I saw no reason to spend extra money on a maternity bathing suit when I had one that would still fit me just fine.

If anyone has a problem with it, they'll just have to get over it. Besides, my husband told me I looked cute when I was pregnant and in my bikini. :)

its not for me, i have seen people do it, and i really dont like the way it looks. in my opinion, if no other time in your life, is the time for modesty. but i would never tell someone else that they cant do it, if that is what they really want, it is just not for me. only my husband, children, and midwife see my pregnant belly in all its glory

I think that if you are proud of your pregnant body - show it off!!! I'm not sure there is such a thing as 'proper etiquette' at a beach... unless you're nude. Look at some of the bathing suits other women wear - little left to the imagination, no? I say go for it hun! Good luck to you - just be sure you wear plenty of sunscreen!!!

I think it's perfectly fine to wear a 2 piece bathing suit durining pregnancy. I am 24 weeks pregnant and I wear one. My husband loves it he thinks pregnant women are quite sexy. I say wear it, even if you have stretch marks, in my opinion those are just honor badges.

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and wore a bikini today. its my body and im proud of my child (i wish she would come out already!!) if people stare or make rude comments that's them being immature. 25 weeks is not big and as long as you're comfortable who cares what other people think.

I wore a 2 piece my first pregnancy at 32 weeks, stretch marks and all, so I vote it's okay. I'll be wearing a 2 piece this time around as well. There's always someone who will look worse in their swimsuit than a cute prego, so I go for it.

Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. If you feel more comfortable and happier wearing a 2 piece then I don't see why you shouldn't. And your on a beach so why shouldn't you be able to show your pregnant belly. I say wear it.

I think it's just fine, pregnancy is a beautiful thing. Who cares what others think. If you feel comfortable with wearing a two piece swinsuit then you should wear it.

As long as you're comfortable, it's fine. The only reason there aren't many out there is because most women aren't comfortable in bikinis while pregnat or because the people who make them weren't comfortable in them themselves.

http://www.surfsupmaternity.com/

If you're comfortable with it, go for it. I've never worn a 2 piece bathing suit in my life, but that's just me. I think it's cute.

I THINK THAT IT IS NORMAL TO WEAR A 2 PIECE BIKINI ON THE BEACH! I MEAN YOUR HUMAN ARENT YOU . . . IT IS ABSOLUTLY NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU DOING SO! I WILL DO IT TO IF I WERE IN YOUR SITUATION

WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK

Never be ashame to show your belly being pregnant is the most beautiful thing. And always you go as you feel.

Of course it's ok!!! Especially if YOU are comfortable. There is nothing to be ashamed of, and there is no "bad etiquette" in showing your belly!

I think a woman's pregnant belly is beautiful and should be shown off when ever possible!

Of course it is fine! Don't worry about it! If you feel comfortable with it, then it is your body and who cares what everyone else thinks!! Good Luck!! :)

It cute! Wear it! If someone doesn't like it their probably just jealous you look better in a bikini then they do.. Go for it.

Sure why not, its not like people are going to ***** at you for being pregnant.

OMG it's totally fine & CUTE! I'm 35 weeks and would totally sport a 2 piece if we lived anywhere near a beach!

Yes! I think it's cute. I'll do it!

I wouldn't do it, but if someone else is doing it that's her business.

yeah of course its ok to wear it.

I think it's cute and so do many other people only as long as u dont got alot of stretch marks!! So go for it girl!

You will probably not like my answer but, i agree with your b/friend. I for one don't want to see anyone's big belly.

Early Pregnancy with swimsuit season coming up.?

0

I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 1 today! I am so excited! Swimsuit season is coming up though and I am not sure what I should be looking for. It's estimated that I am only about 4-5 weeks along so should I be shopping for a maternity swimsuit? Also, when should I be looking into shopping for and wearing maternity clothes? I'm fairly skinny, about 110 pounds, and only about 5'5 so when should I start showing? Thanks.

Old Navy and Motherhood have some cute suits. It all depends on your body and how well you eat when you'll start showing. You can wear your regular clothes as long as you want (as long as they are comfortable) But if your eager to show of that tiny little looks like you just ate a big meal bump Old Navy has extra small maternity clothes. Congrats and good luck!

Edit- I was 112lbs and just wore my bikini from the season before.

Congratulations! That's so exciting! Since you are small, you'll probably start showing sooner than most people do. I would say somewhere between 3 and 4 months is when you'll really be able to tell a difference. I would look for a tankini that you'll still look good in now, but also be able to wear at the end of summer when you start showing. I think those are so cute and it is so much fun showing off your belly!! I would say for a while, you'll be able to wear your own clothes. I wouldn't start shopping for maternity clothes yet because you won't know what size to get. You'll probaby need those around 4 months or so. Again, congratulations and enjoy being pregnant!!

The skinner you are the sooner you start showing! So, you sound small, chances are you are going to start showing so you will not be able to wear the usual string bikini, for the beginning of the season you will be able to get away with wearing a tankini (the tank top, top with the bikini bottom) but by mid to end of summer you will prolly want to switch over to the maternity wear, it will be more comfortable for your growing tummy. Congrats!

Congrats on your baby, ususally you won't start showing until 4-5 months with a little bump which you'll be looking a little bloated, which around this time is good to start looking for maternity clothes and I would recomend to get at least a few sizes bigger cause your belly grows the fastest 7-9 months cause the baby is growing fast in the last months. A one piece bathing suit is good if you wanna hide your belly, there are some cute maternity swim suits I'd look at those first they should be more comfortable.

Every womans body reacts differently with a pregnancy. Being your first, if you eat right, exercise, (Im no dr. of course), but my point of view being through 2, being the small frame that you are, you should start showing about 4 months along. So saying that, no, you shouldnt require a maternity suit. And besides you are pregnant, the most beautiful thing in the world, wear a two piece, show that beauty off. Oh, and congrats!!!!

I'm 22 weeks and I bought something like a tankini. Maternity bathing suits are way too big and the bottoms are kinda granny-like. I wear my pants under my belly anyway. I havent bought any maternity clothes because I'm lucky to have gone 5 1/2 months still fitting in mine! I wouldnt worry about it. Show off the bump!

you should start showing at about 3 months but this can vary. I am just guessing because of your size. Buy maternity it will be easier on you and more comfortable. Unfortunately you are going to have to go through the heat of the summer months and this can get tiresome, and hard. Good luck and congratulations.

i was wondering the same thing, and went to the beach last weekend at 5 1/2 wks and although im not showing i had the "baby bloat" and didn't feel comfortable in my bikini...however the worst part was trying to get my boobs in the top...if i bent over i felt like i was going to fall out...i started at a C cup and now im already in a D (btw im 5'5 and 120)...so that maybe why you'll have to buy another swimsuit

you probably won't show until you are about 12 weeks. SOme skinny women will bloat a little early on and seem to show early. I would recomment a two peice with a tank top or a maternity top. Hell, my Mom wore a string bikini the whole time she was pg with me, but then again that was 1974. Wear what ever you fell comfortable in.

When I was pregnant with my first I did not start showing until I was 4 months. I would say just buy a regular bathing suit. I was still wearing my regular bikini at 5 months pregnant with my daughter and it looked really cute with the little belly. I am also a smaller build like you.

i would wear sun screen to try to minimize stretch marks. and ur bikini. you might need a size larger on the top. but i am young and skinny...well petite in general...and this is my 1st pregnancy and I'm STILL not in maternity clothes at 32 weeks lol...so I don't think you'll need the maternity one. boyshorts may grow with you a little better...or the strings on the side that you can adjust.

Usually about your 3rd or 4th month you'll have a little baby bump. You might be fine without a maternity suit. Every woman is different of course. I am about your height and weight and I didn't show until about 4 to 5 months. Eat healthy and exercise.

You are sooo lucky!!!!! You sound just like I was. I was 118 lbs and 5'6 and I was found out to be preggo in May you are totally "size safe" until about 5 or 6 months. that was the case with me anyway. there is a chance of earlier or later. Every person is different. I hope this helps!!!

Well the underwear im sure you can wear the same size just get a bigger top. Bikini is fine. im almost 18weeks my tummy isnt very big either i wear a bikini. but the top is getting a little small lol. Your tummy wont start growing for acouple months..

wow congrats! that is wonderful! if you plan on swimming or going to the beach until august, you'll need one a size up or else, just wear your normal swimsuit now and buy another one when you are larger. you won't show for at least a couple of months.

You won't start showing for months as thin as you are. Just wear your regular clothes for as long as they are comfortable. You might even get through the summer without having to buy anything maternity. Congrats!

I have no idea about any of the stuff you asked except for the swim suit... Just wear your bikini pregnant girls look really cute in bikinies

I was 120lbs pre pregnancy 5'4" and right now I'm 18 1/2 weeks. this summer i plan to just wear last years 2 piece, unless i get stretch marks of course.

you wont show till about 14 weeks im 5 feet and 100 pounds and i strted to show about at 12 13 weeks and i was huge at 6 months

I'm eight weeks along and I can still wear my regular swimsuit. :) You can just wear a bikini. :)

I think youll be fine, id use your regular swim suit but if you get self concious you could buy a maternity one

Your fine for the season then, you might start showing near august...

gve it 2 months n a half and you'll see your stomach a lil bit bigger, by 4 months your baby bump should b obvious

Wear whatever you would normally wear until your body really starts to change. If it's still swimsuit weather, look into buying a bigger/or maternity suit at that time. You really will have no idea how or when your body is going to change, especially since it's your first. I recommend doing the same with maternity clothes. I don't think I wore any maternity clothes my entire first pregnancy, just bought clothes in larger sizes as needed.

I am also very thin, when I got pregnant with my first i was 100-105 lbs, and I'm 5-6". I must disagree with a lot of the previous answerers, being thin does NOT necessarily mean you will "show" sooner. My theory is it really depends on the shape of your ab muscles. My abs were really well-developed when I got pregnant the first time, and they "hold" the bump in more than in someone who has little to no muscle there. I didn't start showing at all, even to myself until at least 6 months, and strangers couldn't tell I was pregnant until my 8th month, I wore my normal bikini that whole summer.

I'm now almost 14 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby, and am still wearing the same type of bikini I normally wear. I think if I want to go one-piece I'll have to buy maternity to accomodate the bump to come, but if I want to stay in a bikini I'll be fine with the same one, as I'm not showing yet.

Good luck to you and your baby!

Cheap maternity swimsuits?

0

We got a card in the mail to try out a local pool and I want to go so badly! Problem is - none of my swimsuits fit me! Anyone know of anywhere either in store or online that I could get a good deal on a maternity swimsuit?

I've tried a suit in a bigger size that I used to use and its way too big on the butt so it won't work. Everything I've found online is like almost $100 - I only have 2 mo to go so I don't really want to spend that much.

I found that the maternity swimsuits were so expensive so I just wore shorts and one of my maternity singlets (so much cheaper).

I bought mine from Motherhood Maternity for $25 on sale.

You could call a local store to see if they have the same suits on sale and in your size. If not the shipping is only $7.

Try motherhood maternity. They have cute stuff, and they might be on sale.

Did you check Target.com? They had cute ones in the store last summer and the Liz Lange stuff is always nice and affordable.

Where is the best place to go to find CHEAP maternity Clothes?

0

I have been all over the web this morning looking for a decent place to buy maternity clothes. And I'm sorry but a $50 swimsuit is not cheap! I just need a few things to get me through the summer months, and we are strapped for cash. Any ideas?

I have had awesome luck at Target, they have adorable maternity clothing and it won't break the bank, I spent about $200 and got an entire mix and match wardrobe out of it. Old Navy is even getting a bit expensive for maternity clothes, come on you really only wear them like 6 months at the most! I have honestly had the best luck with ebay, because if you follow up on your bids you can get adorable clothing CHEAP. I spent no more than $20 including shipping and handling on all the clothes I purchased thru ebay, and found a ton of awesome independent sellers who have adorable clothing for usually around $10 for shirts and $20 for pants. Also for a $30 investment, buy a Bella Band. You put it over the top of your old pre-baby pants and it hides the zippers and buttons but looks like a lacy undershirt. Throw a tank top or shirt over it and presto, all your pants "fit"!!!

Old Navy sells a lot of large size clothes with long shirts that are perfect for a growing belly. Try Motherhood Maternity. You can go online and find it...google the name. The store itself is cheap on the clearance rack. I bought a $9 dress and $15 jeans. Online, I bought a skirt, shirt and pair of pants for $35 total.

Also try Target, its a little bit more pricey, but they do have really cute stuff. You might need some actual maternity shirts because they are formed to fit the stomach and regular shirts can rise up with your belly as you get to the end of your pregnancy. Believe me, your tummy will grow tremendously!

If all else fails, buy shirts a size larger than you normally wear and pants/skirts/shorts with elastic. You can get away with that without needing a whole lot of maternity clothes. And right now babydoll shirts are definitely in. So we're a whole lot luckier than 1980 when they wore big flowered shirts and ribbons.

And for those clothes you buy that aren't maternity, you can have them tailored to fit you after baby arrives!

old navy!!!!

I have always gotten my maternity clothes at used places..... most of the time you can go to a used child clothing place and they will have maternity clothes.... but i have also found some really great deals at Motherhood Maternity- in the clearance section.... they should have some clearance clothing that you would be able to wear during the summer.... but overall their clothes are not that expensive if you find the time to go through all the clothes on the racks.

Motherhood Maternity! I bought 3 pairs of pants, 1 pair of excersize pants, 3 nice shirts, a new bra, and the pregnancy sleeve all for $115!!! I love that store and they have very nice clothes. The women there also know all about maternity clothes which was a huge help!

YOU SHOULD EITHER GO TO THE GOODWILL OR GO TO OLD NAVY THEY HAVE REALLY CHEAP CLOTHES

i just went to the goodwill today and they had a ton of cute maternity clothes. how about ebay? sales racks at department stores like target, kmart, walmart, burlington coat factory

Old Navy, or try EBay, or www.Craigslist.com - People in your local cities selling used but good condition items, sometimes you can find something you like free. You can usually go down on the price if you let them know your situation.

Hope this helps!

My advice would be to not buy maternity shirts. With the current fashion, loose shirts are in style anyways, so just buy regular shirts that are a size big or something. As for pants, JC Penny, H&M, and Gap have good pants to buy. They are relatively cheap also, but it is rare to find pants on sale, unfortunately. As for a a swim suit, check out Target. Also, if you can't afford pants that aren't on sale (they can be like $40), buy pants that are one size larger and have a larger waist than most pants. You know how styles are different, there are a lot of pants that have slim waists and others with wider waists. My advice would be to check out the style of pants and just buy one size up instead of spending money on maternity pants.

Go to a second-hand store. I know Once Upon a Child sells gently used maternity clothing. Also you can usually find good sells at Old Navy and sometimes Target.

Burlington has good prices on all clothes you could check it out! I know they have a maternity section!

Maternity swimsuits?

0

I am 8 weeks pregnant and going to the beach in a few weeks. I want to buy a swimsuit that will fit me all summer long, if possible. My breasts have already gotten noticeably bigger and my tummy looks fat so I can't wear the one I wore last year. I haven't been to a maternity store yet because I'm afraid that if I go in not knowing what I want, the sales ladies will try to sell me really expensive stuff that I don't need.

good question! Im 9 weeks and have a little baby bump too and i live at Lake Tahoe so i am always swimming in the summer. here is a cute website. i like some of the coverups too.

congrats!!!

try looking on line at

www.destinationmaternity.com

motherhood.com

target.cm and walmart.com

they have quite a few cute stiles you may be able to find something and then go to the store and get it or order it online. Also they usually don't try to sell you things you don't need at least not around here. it's not like buying a car.

i bought a maternity suit last year.I wore it once i ended up in my bikini most of the time

relax go to target or even walmart. just relax. most maternity swim suits will expand to fit you

I am just gonna wear a bikini.

Go to target.com

Maternity Swim suits you can wear post-pregnancy?

0

I am wondering if I can get away with buying a cute maternity swimsuit and then wearing it after the baby is born, without it looking funny??? Or are there any regular suits that have enough room to wear as a maternity suit, and not get too stretched out?

My sister bought a maternity bikini...it was made so that it could be worn post-pregnancy. I really am not sure about the one-pieces, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some that have a removable panel or something of the sort.

I dont know about a pregnancy swim suit i would think you could go to like " Motherhood Maternity" and they would have something along those lines... But i am a plus sized girl and i would NEVER wear a swim suit because i hated how i looked in one... But i have a friend who is plus sized and she told me that at walmart they have these swim suits that have 2 layers... The under layer is TIGHT and it sucks in all the fat.. Like a gurdle... and then it has another piece that goes over it that looks kinda like a short dress... but having the 2 together makes me look so skinny! Like who would think you could wear a gurdle to the pool..lol... but i would think that post pregnancy this would be a great idea to kinda suck in all the extra skin that has not gone back to normal yet!!! Now i love to go swimming :) Best $40 i have ever spent!

http://www.bellablumaternity.com/whitetiehalter.html

Keep looking there momma.

xo Amber.

Yes, you can althtough with time, they will kind of sag in the belly. I used mine and it wasn't a problem til I tried it on again about 3 years later

Your best bet is to consult Customer Service/Contact Us features on sites that specialize in new fabric properties. There are new elasticities out there that a fabric specialist can answer.

just buy a regular one in a bigger size

motherhood has some online and so does target both in store and online..

i bought a black halter neck one its perfect now and will be good after babys born also..

Anyone know where to buy a maternity swimsuit that will work with a long torso?

0

I am on my fourth and last child! All my other kids were born in the dead of winter. I never needed a maternity swimsuit before. I am 5'10" with most of the height being in my torso. I know alot of my friends told me to get a tankini (easier to go to the bathroom), but I have never found one that the bottom of it touches the top of my swim bottoms when I am not pregnant. I know they fit now since I am just 4 months, but I am due at the end of August. I am afraid as I get bigger, the top will stretch and my stomach will be revealed. I really don't want my stomach to show during my pregnancy. I have 3 other kids too, so it needs to be comfortable and easy to get on and off. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

The tankini's on this page look really long in the torso. Good luck!

http://www.motherhood.com/collectionviewall.asp?MasterCategory_Id=18&website_Id=1&ViewAll=true

I bought a swimsuit at Motherhood Maternity. It was a tankini but they make them longer to fit over your growing belly. I wore it twice this winter and you never saw any of my belly. Try them out. Congrats and good luck!

I just wear bikinis! Honestly, you can't and shouldn't want to hide your belly, and trying to go one piece is either going to be uncomfortable or make you look like you are wearing a tent or something. Relax and enjoy!

I'm due in september and have the same issue. I think I'm going to get a bikini and just wear those terry cloth cover ups that look like a dress, they are short and cute, and also strapless. Not sure what else to do.
